What is a griffin?
A griffin is a mythological creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. It has the ability to fly plus immense strength. A blend of the King of the Beasts and the King of the Birds, a griffin is an impressive defender. The griffin radiates a majestic presence that commands respect. The griffin seems to have originated from the region of ancient Iran in the Middle East. Throughout time, the griffin imagery was noted to have been in the Mediterranean and Egypt, and in Greece.
What was the role of a griffin?
